Business Development & Marketing Manager

The Business Development & Marketing Manager is responsible for increasing community awareness, referral relationships, and client admissions through strategic outreach, branding, and communications. This role is ideal for a driven, relationship-focused professional with experience in healthcare or behavioral health marketing who wants to make an impact by connecting individuals and families with life-saving care.

Location: On-Site with Local Travel

Key Responsibilities

Outreach& Referral Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources:
       
    • Therapists, hospitals, EAPs, detox centers, schools, and justice programs
  •  
  • Identify new outreach opportunities and represent the center at:
       
    • Networking events, conferences, community meetings, and health fairs
  •  
  • Conduct in-person and virtual presentations about services, outcomes, and admission process
  • Develop and track referral pipelines and outreach effectiveness

Marketing& Communications

  • Manage marketing calendar and content strategy across digital and print channels
  • Oversee and coordinate:
       
    • Social media updates
    •  
    • Website content (in collaboration with vendors or staff)
    •  
    • Email newsletters
    •  
    • Brochures, one-pagers, and branded materials
  •  
  • Ensure marketing aligns with trauma-informed, recovery-positive messaging
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to promote new programs or service updates

Admissions& Lead Generation Support

  • Work with the admissions team to ensure referral handoffs are smooth and well-documented
  • Track all outreach efforts and referral engagement using CRM or internal logs
  • Ensure strong first impressions and follow-through with all professional contacts

BrandRepresentation

  • Act as an ambassador for Eagle Lake Recovery Center’s mission, values, and reputation
  • Uphold brand integrity in all communications and materials
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews or media inquiries as assigned

Qualitications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of marketing, business development, or admissions experience — preferably in behavioral health, healthcare, or nonprofit
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, CRM systems, and marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, HubSpot)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Comfortable with public speaking and professional networking
  • Passion for mental health and addiction recovery is essential
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel

Schedule and Environment

  • Full-time, typically Monday–Friday with some evening/weekend events
  • Local and regional travel to referral partners, events, or outreach meetings
  • May require occasional on-site support at admissions or tours
