About Aaron B. Michael

Aaron Michael is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #4468) with a robust academic foundation and a deeply personal commitment to addiction recovery. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University in 2006, followed by a Master’s degree in General Counseling and Guidance in 2009.

With over a decade of experience, Aaron has worked with diverse populations from adolescents to geriatric clients honing her skills across a wide range of mental health needs.

Her own journey through recovery ignited a passion for helping adult clients overcome addiction and unresolved trauma. For four and a half years, Aaron served at an addiction recovery treatment center, where she completed an intensive year-long training under Judy Crane, LMHC-QS, CAP, ICADC, CSAT, earning certification as a Trauma Therapist. This training took her across the United States, visiting treatment centers and immersing herself in the most effective, cutting-edge approaches to treating addiction and trauma. Through this experience, she gained a profound understanding of what works and what doesn’t in recovery.

Aaron champions a holistic approach blending experiential therapy, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, inner child therapy, and expressive arts to target the cellular and visceral effects of trauma that fuel addiction. Her methods create a safe environment where clients feel secure enough to practice vulnerability, unearthing deeply buried traumas, often shared for the first time, that continue to sabotage their lives, especially their relationships.
