Dr. Jay Weiss is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 40 years of experience spanning military and clinical practice. A graduate of theUniversity of Arkansas College of Medicine, he completed his residency inPsychiatry while serving in the United States Air Force, where he honorably served for 30 years.

He holds board certifications in Psychiatry (1991), Geriatric Psychiatry(1994), and Addiction Medicine (1995), and earned his ASAM certification in2005. Dr. Weiss is a member of both the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Psychiatric Association (APA). Over the years, he has lectured nationally on subjects including Aviation Psychiatry for the FAA, Combat Psychiatry for the U.S. Air Force, and Celestial Navigation.

Now coming out of retirement, Dr. Weiss has joined Eagle Lake RecoveryCenter’s Dream Team, drawn to its mission of holistic, compassionate, and clinically sound care. His decision to return to practice reflects his deep belief in the power of meaningful therapeutic relationships and the importance of purpose-driven work. We are honored to have him as part of our program.
